The arrangement of icons (catataxis) and the architecture of each church are distinct and unique, yet they work together in harmony. Their shared goal is to connect us with God through the sacred and the divine. Because of this, every church requires a custom iconographic program that reflects its particular structure and spirit. This work demands deep theological understanding. For over three decades, I have collaborated with the esteemed theologian Dimiter Katsika - Kappadoki, a specialist in archaeological theology and a respected author in the fields of humanities, art, philosophy, religion, and ethics.

My name is Alexander Melo, and I have dedicated my life to the sacred practice of Byzantine iconography. Over the past three decades, I have created liturgical works for churches as well as private icon commissions across Greece, Albania, Jerusalem, Cyprus, Mount Athos, and the United States.

For the past 8 years, I have been working actively in Massachusetts, with my studio based in Lynn, MA. I continue this sacred tradition with the same discipline and theological integrity that has guided my work throughout my career.

Talent is a gift from God. In gratitude to Him, I carry out this apostolic task with humility and reverence.
